Going into the race as the defending champion of last year, I had quite a lot of pressure that a had put on myself. Nevertheless, I was focused, in form and was not going to give away my title for free!
2nd year in a row, the race was hosted in Kinrooi. But last year in 2021, the race was canceled at the last moment due to a heavy thunderstorm.
This year, no thunderstorms but a very enjoyable temperature with plenty of sunshine.
I had a good performances in all of the 3 disciplines and managed to run clear of the competitors. Over the moon to RENEW MY NATIONAL TITLE!
And that wasn't all! 2 of my SP&O teammates managed to claim 2nd and 3rd spot! A clean sweep on a national championship, never happened before!
What it day it was, not one I will soon forget.
