New Year With New Aspirations!

2018 was a year with mixed feelings.

2018 was a year with mixed feelings.

Okay, it’s normal to experience high’s and low’s. Training and racing don’t always go as planned. But you have to deal with it, make the best of the situation and move on!

That said, I had 2 major injuries in 2018 which pretty much ruined the whole season, beginning early on in march and ending in octobre. Next to some good national results, I didn’t quite perform as I had hoped for.
Besides, this wasn’t the first time I had to deal with injuries. Last few years also involved several unjuries and other setbacks. It was difficult coping with this and didn’t made things easier. These problems also reflected in personal problems with my coach, who I already knew for more than 10 years.

Now, as 2019 is fully under way, I’m very happy to announce that training is going very well! I’m having a nice build-up towards next racing season. So far so good!
Since training restarted in november, I have decided to start working with a different coach, as I was really in need of something new. He’s someone I also know about 10 years, when I started triathlon. I’m very motivated and eager to work hard! My ambitions stay the same. I truly believe I can act on a high international level and perform on a consistent base.
I very much appreciate the work and effort my previous coach, Thomas Steurbaut, did for me.

Hopefully I’ve had my fair share of bad luck by now!
You’ll see me in 2019!
